REMEMBRANCE

On Tuesday, November 11, 2003, the School held a short Service of Remembrance in the Cemetery in Coggeshall Road. The presence of the Royal British Legion's Branch Standard and Branch members was very much appreciated as the following comments of the children indicate:-

"I thought it was good that we went down to the graveyard to have a ceremony. Just to remember all who died in the wars, and to imagine what it was like then."

Charlotte

"I felt sad because they risked their lives for England. How quiet it got in the one minute silence. I felt sad about the families that lost some one."

Alex

"The remembrance service was held over in the churchyard. Near the cross we all had to stand in a minute's silence. When we got back to class I almost cried."

Ian

"It made me feel sad and how they were fighting just for peace in the world. For our lives to be nice and sunny."

Stacey

"The red was for blood and the black was for grieving."

 Frances
